NOVELTY - Preparing high quality and low cost vanadium nitride iron alloy comprises (1) adding vanadium source compound, iron source compound, reducing agent into deionized water, and stirring to obtain mixed solution, (2) adding citric acid into obtained mixed solution, and performing ultrasonic stirring reaction for more than 4 hours to obtain uniform sol, (3) drying obtained sol to obtain dry gel, and grinding into powder to obtain solid powder, (4) and adding 0.06-0.08 wt.% graphene oxide into solid powder, roasting at 360-370 degrees C for more than 5 hours, and quenching to room temperature to obtain vanadium nitride iron alloy. USE - The method is useful for preparing high quality and low cost vanadium nitride iron alloy. ADVANTAGE - The method enables economical preparation of high-quality vanadium nitride iron alloy with vanadium content of 69.5-71 %, nitrogen content of 17.8-18 % and purity of more than 99.2%.
