▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - The nanofoam for removal of organic pollutants comprises waste polyethylene, nitrogen doped graphene oxide and titanium dioxide dissolved in a suitable solvent, where the combination of graphene-oxide and semiconductor material i.e. titanium dioxide is applied over the surface of waste plastic. USE - Nanofoam for removal of organic pollutants such as rhodamine B and methylene blue. ADVANTAGE - The solid nanofoam results in the removal of 84.9% of rhodamine B and 97.3% of methylene blue. The prepared nanomaterial is helpful in reducing plastic manacle and also giving a solution for water remediation. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method of preparation of the nanofoam, which involves dissolving polyethylene in suitable solvent, adding nitrogen doped graphene oxide and titanium dioxide in the solution, placing the solution in an ultrasonic bath to allow formation of colloidal dispersion, freeze drying the dispersion using freeze dryer, carrying out lyophilization of solvent for 4 hours after freezing, and carrying out sublimation of solvent from sample to prepare a solid foam.
