▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Array of graphene sheets configured to generate electricity from a flow of an ion-containing fluid, comprises graphene sheets, where each graphene sheet comprises first and second electrical contacts, having a surface extending between the first and second electrical contacts for contacting the flow of ion-containing fluid, and each graphene sheet is in electrical contact with at least a further graphene sheet. USE - The array of graphene sheet is used in a device to generate electricity from a flow of an ion-containing fluid, preferably in a root tile, a wall panel, a car body panel, and a drainage duct to generate electricity from a flow of rain water as the ion-containing fluid, in a hull of a boat, or a duct or panel within a tidal powder generator to generate electricity from a flow of sea water as the ion-containing fluid, and in a sanitary-ware product or a duct for sewage or farm drainage to generate electricity from a flow of waste fluid, and in a window or a solar panel (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The array of graphene sheet has high quality and is optically transparent. The preparation method is fast and cost-effective. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) a method of making the array, comprising (a) providing a supports chosen from silicon (Si), silicon oxide (SiO2), silicon carbide (SiC) or sapphire, (b) forming a semiconductor layer on each of the supports by metal-organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD), (c) forming a graphene layer structure having 1-50 layers on each semiconductor layer by MOCVD to form a graphene sheet on it, (d) forming first and second electrical contacts on each graphene sheet, (e) dividing the graphene layer structure into electrically isolated graphene sheets on the semiconductor layer, (f) forming first and second electrical contacts on each electrically isolated graphene sheet, and (g) electrically connecting each graphene sheet to at least a further graphene sheet; (2) a device for generating electrical energy from a flow of an ion-containing fluid, comprising one or more arrays or array produced according to the method; and (3) a method of generating electrical energy from the array, comprising arranging the array in a flow-path of an ion-containing fluid, where the ion-containing fluid passes across the surface of the array to generate a current.
