NOVELTY - Preparation of demulsifier (graphene oxide modified sponge) involves: 1) preparing grafted graphene oxide by performing reflux reaction on graphene oxide and ethanol solution of tetradecylamine; 2) soaking polyurethane sponge into the ethanol solution of grafted graphene oxide; 3) removing polyurethane sponge, followed by drying it. USE - Method is used for preparing demulsifier used in the separation of oil-in-water emulsion systems (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The three-dimensional porous demulsifier is prepared by a simple and high efficiency process. When used for demulsification and separation of oil-in-water emulsion systems, the demulsiifier works on the principle of absorption-extrusion. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: 1. demulsifier having pore diameter 1 to 500 μm; 2. use of demulsifier in the separation of oil-in-water emulsion systems; and 3. method for demulsifying oil-in-water emulsion system, which involves: 1) soaking the demulsifier in an oil-in-water emulsion system to form demulsifier that has absorbed the emulsion; 2) allowing the demulsifier containing absorbed emulsion, to stand, followed by extruding, to form a water phase.
