NOVELTY - The manufacturing method involves immersing a conductor (203) and an object (202) having an uneven surface in a solution (201) including graphene oxide, applying bias voltage to the conductor and the object to deposit the graphene oxide having even thickness on the uneven surface of the object, and heating the graphene oxide deposited on the uneven surface of the object in a vacuum or a reducing atmosphere to reduce the graphene oxide to graphene. The object is an electrode of a lithium-ion secondary battery, and a negative electrode active material is silicon. USE - Manufacturing method for graphene-coated object used for negative electrode of secondary battery (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method forms graphene on object having uneven surface or complex surface, and uses non-spherical material, such as a film-like carbon-based material, as electrode material. The object is prevented from being crushed, owing to sufficient flexibility of then graphene, even when the object whose surface is coated with graphene with even thickness expands. Diffusion path of lithium in the active material is shortened by the use of a film-like carbon-based material as a negative electrode active material of a secondary battery. Wide conductive network can be constructed by the use of a film-like carbon-based material as a conductive additive of an electrode of a secondary battery.
