NOVELTY - Molded prepreg comprises 30-80 pts. wt. linear phenolic resin, 30-80 pts. wt. modified antioxidant fibers, 1.5-20 pts. wt. catalyst, 5-35 pts. wt. ceramic hollow microspheres, 1-5 pts. wt. coupling agent, 1-10 pts. wt. hafnium-silicon-carbon nanocomposite powder, 5-35 pts. wt. zirconium-silicon polymer ceramic precursor pyrolysis powder, and 1-10 pts. wt. toughening agent. USE - The molded prepreg is useful for high-performance heat-resistant composite material (claimed) in thermal protection system of hypersonic aircraft. Can also be used in automotive industry and aerospace industry. ADVANTAGE - The zirconium-silicon polymer ceramic precursor has low density, high specific surface area, and high reactivity, and efficiently improves the ablation resistance of the system. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for preparing molded prepreg for high-performance heat-resistant composite material comprising (1) physically mixing the linear phenolic resin, catalyst and solvent to obtain material A, where the solvent is ethanol, ethylene glycol, and/or tetrahydrofuran, (2) adding fillers e.g. chopped fibers, ceramic hollow microspheres, hafnium-tantalum-carbon nanocomposite powder, zirconium-silicon polymer ceramic precursor pyrolysis powder and toughening agent in the stirring device, selecting ionized water/absolute ethanol mixture as the solvent, mixing evenly, then adding the coupling agent, stirring for 1-5 hours and then drying to obtain material B, where the mass ratio of filler to coupling agent is 1:0.05-0.2, and the volume ratio of absolute ethanol to water is 1:0.1-0.5, (3) adding material B to material A and kneading to obtain material C, (4) adding the material C into a tearing machine for tearing to obtain material D, and (5) drying the material D to obtain a molded prepreg.
