NOVELTY - A composite thermal insulation material comprises 0.5-60 %mass aerogel material and 40-99.5 %mass inorganic fibers. USE - Composite thermal insulation material integrated with housing of thermal battery. ADVANTAGE - The composite thermal insulation material has unique network structure and high porosity, low thermal conductivity, excellent thermal insulation performance, high strength and toughness due to reduced macroscopic brittleness of the aerogel. The addition of infrared shielding agent can significantly improve the material ability to inhibit thermal radiation at high temperature, so that the thermal insulation ability of the new composite thermal insulation material in high temperature environment is better than the existing thermal insulation material. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the composite thermal insulation material, which involves using the above raw materials, infrared shielding agent and phase change energy storage material.
