NOVELTY - Graphite flakes and a solvent are mixed by shear agitation with shear rate of 500-30000 rpm for 30 minutes to 30 hours, to obtain a reaction mixture. The reaction mixture is maintained still, and the supernatant is filtered and residue is removed, to obtain graphene. USE - Preparation of graphene (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables efficient and quick preparation of graphene, with high yield.
