NOVELTY - Preparation of graphene oxide comprises putting 400-800 pts. wt. expanded graphite, 25-35 pts. vol. sulfuric acid, 2.8-3.2 pts. wt. potassium permanganate solution, 180-210 pts. vol. deionized water and 8-12 pts. vol. hydrogen peroxide in equipment in plastic self-sealing bag at 0-2degrees Celsius for at least 240 minutes; removing moisture of inner wall and outer wall of equipment; orderly spreading expanded graphite, potassium permanganate and sulfuric acid on equipment, fast sealing, reacting at -2-2degrees Celsius for 90-110 minutes, adjusting to 75-85degrees Celsius, keeping for 110-130 minutes, cooling to room temperature, adding deionized water, stirring, adding hydrogen peroxide, standing and precipitating; removing supernatant, centrifugally washing precipitate by 6-8% hydrochloric acid for 5 times and diluting with deionized water to supernatant pH of 6.8-7.2 to obtain thick red brown slurry; and ultrasonically treating. USE - The method is for preparing graphene oxide used for road rubber composite modified asphalt (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method solves the problems about complex preparation step of graphene oxide, long reaction period, small sheet diameter, and safety hidden trouble in preparation process including explosion. The method prepares raw materials, uses constant temperature, and uses reaction equipment which removes water and controls reaction condition, precipitation separation and ultrasonic treatment, is simple, has stable product quality, good mixing uniformity, small batch production difficulty and low scale application cost.
