NOVELTY - A flexible graphene oxide gel neutron radiation shielding material comprises 5-10 pts. wt. polyvinyl alcohol, 90-95 pts. wt. acrylic acid, 0.05-0.5 pt. wt. graphene oxide, 2-10 pts. wt. neutron shielding function component and 0.4-0.8 pt. wt. additive. USE - Flexible graphene oxide gel neutron radiation shielding material used for neutron shielding protective clothing. ADVANTAGE - The material is flexible, has high neutron shielding performance, excellent mechanical performance, high elasticity and simple preparation technique and can be used as neutron shielding protective clothing material. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the flexible graphene oxide gel neutron radiation shielding material comprising preparing aqueous solutions by dissolving acrylic acid in deionized water to obtain acrylic acid aqueous solution, dissolving functional shielding component in water and dissolving polyvinyl alcohol in deionized water at 100 degrees C; cooling polyvinyl alcohol solution to 50 degrees C, adding acrylic acid aqueous solution, mixing uniformly and stirring for 1 minute using magnetic stirrer; adding shielding component in graphene oxide aqueous solution, adding aqueous solution containing shielding component, stirring at high speed for 2 minutes using magnetic stirrer, reacting at 200 degrees C for 48 hours and adding to obtained solution in second step; adding initiator and crosslinking agent under nitrogen atmosphere and reacting at 45 degrees C for 0.5 hour; sealing reaction container and reacting at 70 degrees C for 10 hours to form gel; and preparing shielding element function buffer solution and dialyzing gel with semipermeable membrane to obtain nano composite gel.
