NOVELTY - An anode material comprises a spinel-structured high entropy nickel-manganese-iron-metal oxide. USE - Anode material used in lithium battery (claimed) for portable electronic application. ADVANTAGE - The anode material provides lithium battery having long battery life without large number of chemical reactions, high cycle number, and improved performance, and which increases capacity without improving the issue of the material disintegration. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An anode material comprises a spinel-structured high entropy nickel-manganese-iron-metal oxide of formula: (NiaMnbFecM1dM2e)3O4, where M1 and M2 are chosen from cobalt, titanium, tin, silicon, aluminum, copper, zinc, magnesium, calcium, molybdenum, ruthenium, zirconium, or niobium, sum of a, b, c, d and e is 1, a to e is 0.01-0.35 (excluding 0.01 and 0.35). An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a lithium battery (100), which comprises a cathode (102), an anode (104) made from the anode material, a separator (106) located between the electrodes, and an electrolyte (108).
