▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - A perpendicular magnetic recording medium (31) has a magnetic layer, and a protective layer (24) on a nonmagnetic substrate (20) and including a graphene and/or a laminate of graphene and an amorphous carbon. In Raman spectrum of protective layer, the ratio (2D/G) of a peak height (2D) of two-dimensional band with respect to 6-membered ring structure of laminate of graphene and/or graphene in vicinity of 2700 cm-1, and a peak height (G) of G band with respect to stretching vibration of sp2 bond in the laminate of graphene and/or graphene in vicinity of 1585 cm-1, is 0.4-5. USE - Perpendicular magnetic recording medium e.g. hard-disk drive is used in magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The perpendicular magnetic recording medium has excellent abrasion resistance, slide-resistance, corrosion resistance, reliability and surface smoothness. The magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus formed using the perpendicular magnetic recording medium has high recording density, and improved reading/writing speed, rotation speed. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A perpendicular magnetic recording medium has a perpendicular magnetic layer, and a protective layer on a nonmagnetic substrate. The protective layer includes a graphene and/or a laminate of graphene and an amorphous carbon. In Raman spectrum of the protective layer, the ratio (2D/G) of a peak height (2D) of the two-dimensional band with respect to 6-membered ring structure of the laminate of graphene and/or graphene in the vicinity of 2700 cm-1, and a peak height (G) of the G band with respect to the stretching vibration of sp2 bond in the laminate of graphene and/or graphene in the vicinity of 1585 cm-1, is 0.4-5.
