NOVELTY - Producing reduced porous graphene oxide, comprises (a) treating graphene oxide in a first microwave under basic atmosphere to obtain carbonate generate graphene oxide, (b) removing the generated carbonate from the graphene oxide to obtain porous graphene oxide, and (c) treating the porous graphene oxide with a second microwave. USE - The method is useful for producing reduced porous graphene oxide (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The reduced porous graphene oxide has high specific surface area. The method is simple.
