NOVELTY - Preparing sulfhydryl functionalized graphene oxide/nitrocellulose composite comprises preparing 3-mercaptopropyltriethoxysilane modified graphene oxide, (ii) adding 3-mercaptopropyltriethoxysilane-modified graphene oxide and dispersing, obtaining 3-mercaptopropyltriethoxysilane modified graphene oxide dispersion, (iii) adding nitrocellulose to tetrahydrofuran, stirring (iv) pouring the 3-mercaptopropyltriethoxysilane modified graphene oxide dispersion into the nitrocellulose (NC) mixed solution, stirring at 20-40 degrees C for 0.5-1 hours, allowing to stand for 1-2 weeks, drying at 30-40 degrees C for 2-4 hours obtains the corresponding 3-mercaptopropyltriethoxysilane modified graphene oxide/nitrocellulose composite. USE - The method is useful for preparing sulfhydryl functionalized graphene oxide/nitrocellulose composite. ADVANTAGE - The method improves the thermal performance of NC, increases thermal decomposition temperature by 0.2 degrees C to 5.3 degrees C and reduces the glass transition temperature of NC and reduces 0.1-0.7 degrees C. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing sulfhydryl functionalized graphene oxide/nitrocellulose composite COMPRISES preparing 3-mercaptopropyltriethoxysilane modified graphene oxide, (ii) adding 3-mercaptopropyltriethoxysilane-modified graphene oxide prepared to tetrahydrofuran, and ultrasonically dispersing at 20-35 degrees C for 1-2 hours, where the dosage ratio of 3-mercaptopropyltriethoxysilane modified graphene oxide to tetrahydrofuran is 10-60 mg: 20 -150 g, obtaining 3-mercaptopropyltriethoxysilane modified graphene oxide dispersion, (iii) adding nitrocellulose to tetrahydrofuran, stirring for 1-2 hours in the temperature range of 20-35 degrees C, dosage ratio of nitrocellulose and tetrahydrofuran is 4-6 g: 100-200g , dissolving nitrocellulose, obtaining a mixed solution of NC and tetrahydrofuran, (iv) pouring the 3-mercaptopropyltriethoxysilane modified graphene oxide dispersion into the nitrocellulose (NC) mixed solution, stirring at 20-40 degrees C for 0.5-1 hours, allowing to stand for 1-2 weeks, drying at 30-40 degrees C for 2-4 hours obtains the corresponding 3-mercaptopropyltriethoxysilane modified graphene oxide/nitrocellulose composite.
