NOVELTY - Preparation of in-situ self-generated graphene/copper composite material with composite interface structure, involves heating a raw material copper and oxidizing in air, soaking in formic acid, oven-drying, heating, carbonizing and spark-plasma-sintering. USE - Preparation of in-situ self-generated graphene/copper composite material with composite interface structure (claimed) used for large-scale integrated circuit lead frame, electrical engineering application including switch contact bridge, high-speed rail application and contact development of modern industry. ADVANTAGE - The method is simple, and easy to control the size of the raw material copper powder and oxidation time/temperature parameter, and obtains the copper formate coating with different thickness in the subsequent process, and after the pyrolysis to obtain copper particle bimodal distribution of different sizes. It solves the problem of uniformly graphene in the copper base component by oxidizing in air, acidifying with formic acid, coating the copper powder particles surface layer with a layer of sub-micron size copper particles and heat-treating due to the pyrolysis of the copper particles.
