NOVELTY - A lithium-rich manganese base solid solution/graphene composite material comprises lithium-rich manganese base solid solution comprising lithium-manganese-oxide, where the lithium-rich manganese base solid solution is in the form of particles dispersed in interlayer of a layered graphene. USE - Lithium-rich manganese base solid solution/graphene composite material for use as anode material of lithium ion battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The material has improved conductivity, and is simple and inexpensive to prepare. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A lithium-rich manganese base solid solution/graphene composite material comprises lithium-rich manganese base solid solution comprising lithium-manganese-oxide (xLi2MnO3.(1-x)LiMO2), where M is nickel, cobalt, manganese, chromium, nickel-cobalt, nickel-manganese, nickel-coblat-manganese, iron and ruthenium, x is 0-1, the lithium-rich manganese base solid solution is in the form of particles dispersed in interlayer of a layered graphene. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for preparing a lithium-rich manganese base solid solution/graphene composite material.
