NOVELTY - The purification device (1) has a hollow portion (2) which defines a duct (3) suited to convey water. The duct is formed between a first opening (4) and a second opening (5). A purifying material (6) is placed in a first area (24) of duct between first opening and second opening. The graphene is provided as purifying material. The graphene is held inside the first area by holding elements (26). The holding elements comprise a supporting film arranged in first area and to which the graphene is associated. USE - Device used for purification of polluted water before conveyed into river. ADVANTAGE - Since the need to lay expensive pipes to convey the waters produced by several sources toward single purification system is avoided, the water purification device is less expensive than the known purification system. The active element of the water purification device is quickly replaced when the purification capacity is reduced excessively.
