▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Composite structures are manufactured by obtaining substantially flat graphene, graphene oxide, and/or reduced graphene oxide (G/GO/rGO) flakes with surface area to thickness ratio of 200 A?; functionalizing substantially flat G/GO/rGO flakes to be compatible with a host material; and entraining substantially flat G/GO/rGO flakes in the host material. USE - Manufacture of composite structures using flakes of graphene, graphene oxide, and/or reduced graphene oxide. ADVANTAGE - The method offers the ability to replace the use of metallic reinforcements that corrode and lose mechanical integrity with a more chemically stable additive. The higher concentration regions of G/GO/rGO can act as additional load bearing and load dispersing structure, providing additional mechanical support and strength.
