▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - A rare earth carbide catalyst is prepared by loading 10-16 wt.% rare earth oxide on a catalytic carrier. USE - Rare earth carbide catalyst is used in preparation of high-carbon friction material (claimed) for brake sheets. ADVANTAGE - The rare earth carbide catalyst has the function of carburizing catalyst and high lifting speed, and enables efficient preparation of high-carbon friction material having a shearing strength of 5.28 MPa without using copper, asbestos and metal. The friction material enables simple large-scale preparation of environmentally-friendly brake sheet having excellent high performance characteristics, heat conductivity, high-temperature friction performance, friction coefficient stability, thermal stability, and wear resistance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) preparation of the catalyst, which involves mixing and grinding the catalytic carrier and the rare earth oxide at 60-90 degrees C, crushing to obtain a primary mixed catalyst, and carbonizing and activating the primary mixed catalyst; and (2) preparation of high-carbon friction material, which involves mixing the catalyst, zinc oxide, tire powder, ceramic powder, resin, and steel cotton in a mass ratio of 5-6:1-3:12-18:20-24:15-19:6-14, pressing into a blank after hydrogenation shaping for 10-15 minutes under vacuum condition, heating, treating with hydrochloric acid vapors, cooling, cleaning, and drying.
