NOVELTY - Preparing superfine tungsten carbide powder by one-step carbonization of tungsten oxide involves subjecting solid raw material for carburization reaction in the atmosphere of carbon monoxide to obtain superfine tungsten carbide powder, where the solid raw material comprises raw material mixture of tungsten oxide and solid carbon source, the solid carbon source comprises carbon black and/or graphene. USE - Method for preparing superfine tungsten carbide powder by one-step carbonization of tungsten oxide used to micro-electronics, mechanical processing, mineral development, aerospace and national defense industry. ADVANTAGE - The method has short process flow, and the obtained superfine tungsten carbide powder crystal grain size is less than or equal to 400 nm. The gas carbon source (carbon monoxide) is easy to control and transfer ability is strong, which not only can make up the defect of insufficient migration ability of solid carbon (carbon black and/or graphene), it also can inhibit the reaction of carbon dioxide and C and WC generated in the carburization reaction process, further carbonizing W, W2C, and WOx, can accurately control the content of carbon in the TCR through one-step carburizing reaction, so as to realize stable control of carbon content in TCR.
