NOVELTY - Preparing graphene optical fiber comprises (1) using optical fiber as growth substrate, placing liquid metal upstream of optical fiber, (2) in an inert atmosphere and hydrogen atmosphere, heating to growth temperature, and passing carbon source, constant temperature for period of time, growing graphene film on optical fiber, and (3) after completing growth, cooling to obtain graphene optical fiber. USE - The method is useful for preparing graphene optical fiber. ADVANTAGE - The method: does not require etching after growth and evaporation of metal catalyst, and has no risk of possible damage. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for graphene optical fiber.
