NOVELTY - Preparing graphene by electrochemically expanding intercalated graphite, comprises adding intercalated graphite to molten paraffin wax to knead uniformly, pressing in a mold to make intercalated graphite electrode, then taking the intercalated graphite electrode as cathode, graphite plate as anode and aqueous alkali solution as electrolyte, applying 3-15 V direct current voltage, and ultrasonically peeling expanded graphite to obtain graphene. USE - The method is useful for preparing graphene by electrochemically expanding intercalated graphite. ADVANTAGE - The method: is safe and economical; ensures stable and uniform product quality; does not damage the graphene sheet structure; and is suitable for large-scale production.
