NOVELTY - Low-temperature preparation of α-phase aluminum oxide powder involves adding aluminum hydroxide, α-phase aluminum oxide seed crystal and calcining additive in a grinder, grinding, mixing uniformly to obtain a mixed material, adding the mixed material into a crucible, placing in a tubular furnace, raising the temperature to a calcining temperature of 600-1000℃ at a heating rate of 5-10℃/minute under an inert atmosphere, replacing the inert gas with oxygen, calcining at high temperature for 5-30 minutes, naturally cooling to room temperature, and discharging. The calcining additive comprises one or more of carbon black, graphene, carbon nanotube and gas-phase growth carbon fiber, and has a specific surface area of 10-500 m2/g. USE - Low-temperature preparation of α-phase aluminum oxide powder used for preparing high-grade refractory flame-retardant material, fine ceramic, battery separator material and precise polishing material. ADVANTAGE - The method is simple, easy, environmentally-friendly and economical, prevents irregular shape and uneven size of aluminum oxide, uses wide raw material source, and ensures excellent repeatability and low calcining temperature.
