NOVELTY - Repairing graphene, comprises receiving a graphene layer including a hole and a pore on a support, applying a first reactive material including molecules larger than the pore to a first side of the graphene layer, applying a second reactive material including molecules larger than the pore through the support to a second side of the graphene layer, and reacting the first and second reactive materials in the hole to produce a plug in the hole and to repair the graphene layer. USE - The method is useful for repairing graphene (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method economically repairs the graphene without any defects. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT claims are included for: (1) a system to repair the graphene layer on the support, comprising a chamber to receive the graphene layer on the support, a first container in operative relationship with the chamber, and a second container in operative relationship with the chamber, where the first container includes the first reactive material, the second container includes the second reactive material and the chamber is effective to operate with the first container to apply the first reactive material to a first side of the graphene layer, to operate with the second container to apply the second reactive material through the support to a second side of the graphene layer and to operate with the first and the second container to react the first and second reactive materials in the hole to produce a plug in the hole and to repair the graphene layer; and (2) a structure comprising a porous support including pores of a first size, the graphene layer on the support, and a plug in the hole, where the graphene layer further includes a pore of a second size, and the plug includes a first material with molecules having a third size larger than the second size and smaller than the first size and a second material with molecules having a fourth size larger than the second size and smaller than the first size.
