NOVELTY - Manufacturing graphene quantum dots involves adding coffee bean powder at a temperature of 900-1100 degrees C and 10(-)4-10(-)2, carbonizing the coffee bean powder by heating in a hydrogen atmosphere of torr, placing the carbonized coffee bean powder in an acidic solution and heating to obtain a solution containing graphene quantum dots, neutralizing the solution containing the graphene quantum dots, and drying the solution containing the neutralized graphene quantum dots to obtain graphene quantum dots. USE - Method for manufacturing graphene quantum dots. ADVANTAGE - The method enables to manufacture graphene quantum dots which has biocompatibility and stability, which can compensate for disadvantages of existing quantum dots. It is attracting attention as a substitute. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a graphene quantum dot, which is prepared by above method and doped with nitrogen atoms.
