NOVELTY - Composition comprises a conducting agent and an electrochemically active material, where the conducting agent is a composite, comprising particles comprising a silicon oxide and graphene, where graphene is directly on a surface of the particles, and the graphene surrounds and interconnects the particles, which are embedded in the graphene. USE - The composition is useful in electrode which is useful in lithium battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The composition: improves the conductivity of the lithium battery and exhibiting a higher initial charge-discharge efficiency and a higher capacity, thus charging or discharging the lithium battery at high rates; and prevents a side reaction on the surface of a cathode and decomposition of the electrolyte on the surface of the cathode, thus increasing lifetime and improved durability of lithium battery.
