NOVELTY - A graphene/zinc oxide composite cathode material comprises blend such as graphene oxide and zinc oxide at a mass ratio of 1:9-2:8. USE - Graphene/zinc oxide composite cathode material for use in a lithium ion battery. ADVANTAGE - The graphene/zinc oxide composite cathode material has improved electrochemical property, and increased charging-discharging efficiency. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for preparing graphene/zinc oxide composite cathode material, which involves dissolving water containing nitrate, graphene oxide powder in 1, 2-propylene glycol and aqueous anhydrous ethanol, mixing ultrasonically for 1-2 hours to obtain precursor solution of electrostatic spray deposition, fixing metal substrate on a substrate plate after weighing, heating the metal substrate at 100-250 degrees C, adjusting the distance between the capillary nozzle and metal substrate to 5-7 cm in an electrostatic spray deposition device, applying direct current voltage of 9-12 kV followed by adding the obtained precursor solution in the electrostatic spray deposition device at a speed of 600-800 ml/hour, spraying precursor solution on substrate material after switching the electrostatic spray deposition device, closing electrostatic spray deposition device after 1-2 hours spraying, cooling to room temperature, and weighing to obtain the finished product.
