NOVELTY - Preparing graphene-supported cobalt disulfide particle composite material comprises (i) uniformly dispersing graphene in water to obtain suspension; (ii) adding cobalt acetate tetrahydrate into the suspension and mechanically stirring at room temperature; (iii) adding ethylenediamine into the suspension and mechanically stirring at room temperature; (iv) adding carbon disulfide to the suspension and mechanically stirring at room temperature; (v) pouring the mixture into polytetrafluoroethylene lined reaction kettle, placing the reaction kettle in an oven and carrying out hydrothermal treatment; and (vi) washing the sample using water for three times, centrifuging, collecting product and freeze-drying. USE - The composite material is useful for catalytic electrolysis of water (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method is simple, suitable for industrial production and convenient to operate, and has controllable conditions and high repeatability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for graphene-supported cobalt disulfide particle composite material prepared by the above method, comprising a pure cobalt disulfide phase uniformly distributed on the graphene, where the particle size of cobalt disulfide is 70-200 nm.
