NOVELTY - A polystyrene (PS)/high density polyethylene (HDPE) composite material comprises 60-100 pts. wt. PS resin, 0-40 pts. wt. HDPE resin, 5-15 pts. wt. toughening agent, 3-6 pts. wt. conductive carbon black, 0.5-1.5 pts. wt. graphene, 5-15 pts. wt. calcium carbonate, 0.5-1.5 pts. wt. lubricant and 0.25-0.8 pts. wt. antioxidant. The PS resin has melt index 8.5-12 g/10 minutes and HDPE resin has melt index 0.88-1.3 g/10 minutes. USE - As polystyrene/polyethylene composite material. ADVANTAGE - The polystyrene/polyethylene composite material has improved compatibility, conductive effect, impact strength and processing performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for the preparation of PS/HDPE composite. The method involves: 1) mixing PS resin, toughening agent, conductive carbon black, graphene, calcium carbonate, lubricant and antioxidant in a high-speed mixer and adding mixed materials into a parallel double-screw extruder from a main feeding port; 2) adding PE resin into a parallel double-screw extruder from a side feeding port and shearing, melting, blending and extruding all component materials in the parallel double-screw extruder.
