NOVELTY - The pole piece has a supporting layer coated with a graphene layer. The graphene layer is combined with a conductive layer of a flexible and soft current collector. The conductive layer is coated with a negative active slurry layer. USE - Negative electrode pole piece for a lithium ion battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The pole piece reduces alloy cathode volume of a lithium ion battery during cycling process of a current collector structure in a convenient manner. The pole piece reduces failure rate and weight of the lithium ion battery in an easy manner. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for the following: (1) a positive pole piece (2) a lithium ion battery.
