▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Synthesis of graphene oxide involves mixing sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid, adding graphite powder and potassium permanganate, transferring the mixture to an oil bath, adding deionized water to the mixture, adding hydrogen peroxide, cooling the mixture at room temperature, diluting the mixture with hydrochloric acid solution, and centrifuging. The graphene oxide comprises high oxygen content, and is nitric oxide-free emission starting from natural graphite flakes. USE - Synthesis of graphene oxide used as high-antifoulant and antibacterial nanofiller for manufacturing membrane (claimed) for water treatment. ADVANTAGE - The method produces membranes with excellent mechanical properties, fouling resistance, antibacterial activity, and high flux recovery ratio. The functionalization of graphene oxide with dodecylamine ensures excellent degree of functionalization. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) functionalization of graphene oxide with dodecylamine, which involves dispersing graphene oxide in deionized water and dodecylamine in ethanol to form suspensions, ultrasonically-processing suspensions, and extracting dodecylamine functionalized graphene oxide; and (2) preparation of membrane, which involves adding dodecylamine functionalized graphene oxide to 1-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone to form a mixture, mixing polyvinylpyrrolidone and polysulfone in the mixture, and casting the mixture to form the membrane. The membrane comprises polysulfone-dodecylamine functionalized graphene oxide.
