NOVELTY - Hybrid nanoparticle comprises an aggregate assembled from many polymeric molecules and many boron-doped graphene quantum dots localized in the aggregate. USE - The hybrid nanoparticle is useful for preparing a tumor-penetrating drug carrier, where the tumor is a brain tumor (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The hybrid nanoparticle: is easy to prepare in large-scale within a short time and requires no need for strong acids; is formed by self-assembly also possesses structural stability, thus preventing the premature release of loaded drugs into non-target tissues after entry into the body and avoiding toxic side effects on normal tissues; and simultaneously carries drugs of different properties including hydrophilic drugs and hydrophobic drugs. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) controlling (M1) disassembly of a hybrid nanoparticle, comprising (a) obtaining the hybrid nanoparticle, and (b) applying a high-frequency magnetic field of 50-600 kHz to the hybrid nanoparticle to induce disassembly; and (2) preparing (M2) a tumor-penetrating drug carrier, comprising incorporating the boron-doped graphene quantum dots in an aggregate assembled from many polymeric molecules to obtain the hybrid nanoparticle.
