NOVELTY - Carbon fiber-silicon-graphene oxide composite comprises multi-layer three-dimensional network structure formed by alternately combining carbon fiber layer containing silicon particles and graphene oxide layer. USE - The carbon fiber-silicon-graphene oxide composite material is useful as cathode material for lithium ion battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The carbon fiber-silicon-graphene oxide composite has self-supporting structure, avoids use of adhesive, enhances conductivity of material, ensures rapid electron transport in Faraday reaction, shortens ion migration distance and improves electrochemical performance of material. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing composite, comprising (i) mixing silicon nanoparticles and precursor and forming mixed solution by electrospinning to obtain carbon fiber layer of the silicon-containing particles; (ii) covering a layer of graphene oxide on the carbon fiber layer of the silicon-containing particles; and (iii) repeating steps (i) and (ii) many times to obtain multilayer structure, pre-oxidizing multilayer structure and carbonizing at 300-1000 degrees C for 1-6 hours.
