NOVELTY - Graphene-oxide-grafted nylon 6-polypropylene is reacted with solubilizer under high shear and melt-blended, to obtain polypropylene/nylon 6/graphene-oxide composite material. Polypropylene/nylon 6/graphene-oxide composite material is mechanically-mixed in mixer at 230 degrees C, quickly-molded in mold, and provided to flat vulcanizing machine under vulcanizing machine pressure of 25 MPa, to obtain high-performance polypropylene-nylon 6-graphene oxide composite material. USE - Preparation of high-performance polypropylene-nylon 6-graphene oxide composite material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparation of high-performance polypropylene-nylon 6-graphene oxide composite material having tensile strength and bending strength of 62.1% and 50.5%, respectively, measured by static mechanical testing method. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Flake graphite is cleaned with dilute hydrochloric acid, filtered, washed with distilled water to neutral, and vacuum-dried at 100 degrees C. Sodium nitrite is added to strong acid, and washed flake graphite is added to mixture, evenly stirred in ice water bath and an oxidizing agent is slowly added. The system is heated at 40 degrees C, and reacted-stirred for 6-8 hours. Distilled water is slowly added to reaction mixture, and system is heated at 70 degrees C. Hydrogen peroxide is added, and unreacted oxidizing agent is removed. The reaction is stopped, the reaction is hot-filtered, centrifuged and washed with distilled water such that the product has pH value of 7, to obtain pure graphene-oxide mother liquor. Sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate is added to graphene-oxide mother liquor, and ultrasonically-processed, to obtain uniformly-dispersed graphene-oxide sol. Nylon 6 is added to uniformly-dispersed graphene-oxide sol and mixed, to obtain graphene-oxide-grafted nylon 6. The surface carboxyl-terminal of graphene-oxide-grafted nylon 6 is amino-reacted. Graphene-oxide-grafted nylon 6 and grafted polypropylene-graft maleic anhydride are reacted, to obtain graphene-oxide-grafted nylon 6-polypropylene. Graphene-oxide-grafted nylon 6-polypropylene is vacuum-dried at 80 degrees C, and physically adsorbed water is removed. Graphene-oxide-grafted nylon 6-polypropylene is reacted with solubilizer under high shear and melt-blended, to obtain polypropylene/nylon 6/graphene-oxide composite material.
