DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Magnetic nano-adsorbent of formula (I) comprises nanoparticles are magnetic nanoparticle of formula (II) and zwitterionic surfactant is of formula (III). M=metal atom selected from manganese, cobalt, nickel, zinc, barium and alkaline earth metals; R=CH3(CH2)11, CH3(CH2)10-CONH-(CH2)3, CH3-(C=CH2)-CONH-(CH2)3, and CH3 (CH2)15; R1 and R2=H and CH3; and A=COO, -(CH2)-COO, (CH2)2-COO, (CH2)3-COO and -(CH2)3-SOO. INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: 1. a method of preparation of a magnetic nano-adsorbent, which involves: a. preparing a solution of magnetic nanoparticles; b. adjusting pH of the solution of magnetic nanoparticles to obtain precursor solution; c. adding 2.75-3.25 wt.% zwitterionic surfactant to the precursor solution at 23-27℃ to obtain a product; and 2. a method of removal of toxic contaminants from waste water, which involves: adding 0.00124-0.006 wt.% magnetic nanoadsorbent to 1-40 wt.% waste water at an agitation speed in the range of 40-200 rpm at temperature in the range of 23-27℃ for a time period in the range of 80-120 minutes to obtain a detoxicated water.
