NOVELTY - Preparation of large-scale and high-efficiency graphene oxide or graphite oxide involves (1) adding concentrated sulfuric acid, graphite, potassium permanganate and water to the reaction kettle under stirring condition, controlling the reaction temperature and reaction time to generate graphene oxide or graphite oxide, (2) leaving still to remove the sulfuric acid solution in the reaction product, (3) purifying the product to remove the sulfuric acid solution to obtain high-content filter cake, dry materials or slurry state material, (4) mixing and dispersing the filter cake material, dry material or slurry state material with water to form slurry or solution with low solid content, and (5) re-purifying the material to obtain high-content filter cake material, dry material or slurry state material, and (6) repeating the step (4) and (5) for several times. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for device for preparing the graphene oxide or graphite oxide, which comprises reaction kettle, transfer device (A), static device, transfer device (B), purifier (A), transfer device (C), and collector (A). The transfer device (A) is arranged between the reaction kettle and the static device, and is connected to the reaction kettle and the static device, and is used to send all the products discharged from the reaction kettle into the static device. The transfer device (B) is arranged between the static device and purifier (A), and is connected to the static device and purifier (A), and is used to send the lower layer material separated from the static device to purifier (A). The transfer device (C) is arranged between the purifier (A) and collector (A), and is used to send the graphene oxide or graphite oxide processed by the purifier (A) to the collector (A).
