NOVELTY - An aqueous manganese dioxide-metal secondary battery comprises electrolyte, aqueous solution containing divalent manganese ion, divalent metal ion and hydrogen ion. The divalent metal ion comprises divalent cadmium ion/zinc ion/copper ion/manganese ion/iron ion/cobalt ion/nickel ion/lead ion. The secondary battery does not include separator. The positive current collector and negative current collector does not contain positive active material and negative active material. The charging process involves converting divalent manganese ion into manganese dioxide deposited on surface of anode current collector, divalent metal ion into metal simple substance deposited on surface of cathode current collector and dissolving manganese dioxide and metal simple substance in electrolyte. USE - Aqueous manganese dioxide-metal secondary battery. ADVANTAGE - The aqueous manganese dioxide-metal secondary battery exhibits ultra-high power characteristics and long cycle life.
