NOVELTY - Preparation of graphene involves mixing N-methylpyrrolidone and graphite powder, dispersing in water bath to form paste solution, grinding in ball mill together with alumina balls, placing ball mill on planetary ball mill, crushing, adding deionized water, ultrasonically-dispersing in water bath, washing residual N-methylpyrrolidone deionized water and drying in oven to obtain resulting black powder, which is multilayered graphene. USE - Preparation of graphene (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables simple and economical preparation of graphene using simple organic solvent. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of graphene involves mixing N-methylpyrrolidone and graphite powder in a mass ratio 1-5:1, dispersing in water bath at 60 degrees C for half an hour to form a paste solution, grinding in ball mill together with alumina balls, placing ball mill on a planetary ball mill, adjusting rotational speed of ball mill to 350-450 rpm, crushing for 12-24 hours, adding deionized water, ultrasonically-dispersing in water bath, stirring constantly, washing residual N-methylpyrrolidone thoroughly with deionized water and drying in oven to completely remove liquid phase and obtain resulting black powder, which is multilayered graphene. The mass ratio of alumina ball, graphite powder and N-methylpyrrolidone is 1:1-50:10-20. The mass ratio of deionized water and graphite powder is 1-2:1.
