NOVELTY - Manufacturing graphene oxide, comprises performing electrochemical reaction using anode with flake graphite sheet and sulfuric acid aqueous solution, collecting anode with expanded flake graphite sheet, washing with deionized water, drying, pulverizing to obtain graphite powder, placing in ice bath, mixing graphite powder, concentrated sulfuric acid and potassium permanganate, stirring, reacting, adding hydrogen peroxide into reaction mixture, washing with hydrochloric acid and deionized water, ultrasonically treating, centrifuging, and producing large sized single layer graphene oxide. USE - The method is useful for manufacturing graphene oxide (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method produces single layered graphene oxide with side length size of greater than or equal to 100 mu m, has high yield, is simple and economical, and ensures large-scale production. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Manufacturing graphene oxide, comprises performing electrochemical reaction using an anode with expanded flake graphite sheet and sulfuric acid aqueous solution with concentration of 4.8-19.2 g/100 ml water as an electrolyte at a constant direct current and voltage of 3-8 V for 5-60 minutes, collecting anode with expanded flake graphite sheet, washing with deionized water, drying at room temperature, pulverizing using a crusher to obtain graphite powder with particle diameter at micrometer level, placing in an ice bath, mixing the obtained graphite powder with 98% concentrated sulfuric acid and potassium permanganate in 1:25-70:2-8 mass ratio, sequentially stirring at 0-10 degrees C, 30-50 degrees C and 70-100 degrees C, sequentially reacting at low-temperature for 10-60 minutes, 30-60 minutes and 15-60 minutes, adding 30% hydrogen peroxide (0.5-5 ml/g graphite powder) into the obtained reaction mixture, washing with hydrochloric acid and deionized water to obtain pH of 7, ultrasonically treating, centrifuging, and producing large sized single layer graphene oxide.
