NOVELTY - Quickly and efficiently preparing hollow carbon micro-sphere comprises: (i) dispersing 10-15 g nano-grade silicon dioxide micro-sphere to 2.5-3 L ethanol solution to obtain silicon dioxide dispersion, adding carbon precursor i.e. phenolic resin, sucrose, polyaniline-polypyrrole, graphene or polyvinylpyrrolidone, adding pH regulator i.e. ammonia water, potassium hydroxide solution, sodium hydroxide solution, sodium carbonate solution or sodium acetate to adjust pH to 7.1-7.8, stirring for 20-30 hours at 25-35℃, centrifuging, washing and drying to obtain precursor powder; and (ii) carbonizing precursor powder in inert atmosphere i.e. nitrogen, argon or carbon dioxide atmosphere, dispersing into etching agent i.e. sodium hydroxide solution, potassium hydroxide solution or hydrofluoric acid solution for 1 hour, centrifuging and washing to obtain nano-grade microporous carbon ball. USE - The method is useful for quickly and efficiently preparing hollow carbon micro-sphere. ADVANTAGE - The method reduces damage to surface crystal structure in template removal and carbonization process, and effectively improves retention rate of carbon micro-sphere structure in large-scale preparation process. The product has high purity, simple technique, cheap and easy-to-obtain reaction raw material, low energy consumption, environment-friendly and nontoxic reaction process, and it can be applied in large scale. The hollow carbon micro-sphere can be used as shell for inhibiting silicon particle expansion, and is capable of effectively improving cycle capacity of battery in cathode of lithium ion battery.
