NOVELTY - Preparation of MOF-74 derived carbon coated bimetallic sulfide involves dissolving 2,5-dihydroxyterephthalic acid, water-soluble cobalt salt and water-soluble nickel salt in mixed solvent of dimethylformamide/ethanol/deionized water in volume ratio of 1:1:1, hydrothermally reacting, centrifuging, washing and drying to obtain cobalt-nickel bimetal MOF-74 material precursor, mixing the precursor and sulfide, and calcining under argon atmosphere. USE - Preparation of MOF-74 derived carbon coated bimetallic sulfide for cathode of sodium-ion battery (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The preparation method is simple, easy, economical and suitable for large-scale industrial production. The MOF-74 derived carbon coated bimetallic sulfide provides cathode with high specific capacity, excellent cycle performance and rate performance, and long cycle life.
