NOVELTY - Producing graphene-polymer composite pellet involves placing multiple particles of a graphitic material and multiple particles of a solid polymer carrier material into an impacting chamber of an energy impacting apparatus, operating energy impacting apparatus with a frequency and an intensity for a length of time sufficient for peeling off graphene sheets from graphitic material and transferring graphene sheets to surfaces of solid polymer carrier material particles to produce graphene-coated polymer particles inside impacting chamber and recovering graphene-coated polymer particles from impacting chamber and feeding multiple particles of graphene-coated polymer into an extruder to produce filaments of an extruded graphene-polymer composite and operating a cutter or pelletizer to cut filaments into pellets of graphene-polymer composite, where graphene sheets are dispersed in the polymer as a matrix. USE - Method for producing graphene-polymer composite pellet. ADVANTAGE - The method enables to produce graphene-polymer composite pellet in eco-friendly, cost effective manner which is highly scalable.
