NOVELTY - Preparing array type cathode comprises (i) etching the metal nanowires with hydrofluoric acid aqueous solution to obtain the array structure metal nanowires, (ii) mixing the transition metal salt and 2-methylimidazole to obtain mixed solution, (iii) mixing the array structure metal nano-wire and the mixed solution, performing hydrothermal reaction to obtain the hydrothermal product solution, (iv) performing a first sintering on the hydrothermal product solution to obtain a first sintered product, and (v) subjecting the first sintered product to second sintering, where the first sintering is carried out in an argon-hydrogen mixed atmosphere, and the temperature of the first sintering is 600-1000°C, the second sintering is carried out in air atmosphere, and the temperature of the second sintering is 150-300°C. USE - The method is useful for preparing array type cathode used in battery. ADVANTAGE - The method is simple, and easy to operate. The material has excellent electrochemical activity.
