NOVELTY - Preparation of reduced graphene oxide comprises cleaning, drying, grinding and sieving carbon rods in waste zinc-manganese battery to obtain carbon rod powder; mixing carbon rod powder and sodium hydroxide, melting and cooling to obtain cooled alkali fusion sample; mixing cooled alkali-melted sample with water, filtering to obtain filter residue, and reacting filter residue with hydrochloric acid to obtain purified graphite powder; washing, drying, grinding and sieving solid manganese oxide in waste zinc-manganese battery to get manganese oxide powder; peeling off zinc skin shell of waste zinc manganese battery, washing and cutting to obtain zinc flakes; and performing contact reaction of purified graphite powder, manganese oxide powder, potassium sulfate and sulfuric acid, and adding water and zinc flakes to continue reacting. USE - The method is used for preparing reduced graphene oxide (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method firstly uses material in waste zinc-manganese battery to prepare reducing graphene oxide, which not only solves processing problem of waste battery.
