NOVELTY - Porous graphene loaded cerium nanocomposite antibacterial agent comprises composition of 100(Ce)x, porous graphene, and cerium, where x is defined as 100 g porous graphene amount of cerium, is 14-220 g, the nano cerium is deposited on porous graphene layer, the particle size of the nano cerium is 5-20 nm, the specific surface area of the porous graphene is 350-450 m2/g, the conductivity of the porous graphene is 20-60 S-1, and the weightlessness of the porous graphene at 900 degrees C is 4-6 wt.%. USE - As porous graphene loaded cerium nanocomposite antibacterial agent. ADVANTAGE - The agent has antibacterial effect for long duration, and is cost-effective. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for method for preparing the porous graphene loaded cerium oxide nanocomposite, which involves (a) preparing porous graphene by adding 1 g graphite powder in 25 ml concentrated sulfuric acid, cooling the mixture in ice bath at 0 degrees C, slowly adding 2.5-3 g potassium permanganate, increasing the temperature of the mixture to 30 degrees C, stirring the mixture at 60 revolutions per minute (rpm) for 2 hours, adding 200 ml water to the stirred mixture, adding 2-3 ml hydrogen peroxide solution, centrifuging the mixture at 600 rpm, removing impurities from the centrifuged mixture, performing ultrasonic treatment to the mixture at 400 W and 50 Hz for 1 hour, again performing ultrasonic treatment at 800 W, subjecting the treated mixture to microwave at 2450 Hz for 1 hour to obtain oxidized graphite alkene, adding 3-5 g sodium hydroxide to the mixture, adding the obtained mixture in tube furnace and maintaining the temperature under nitrogen at 760 degrees C for 1 hour, and (b) preparing porous graphene paving by dispersing the obtained 10 ml concentrated porous graphene solution in 10 mg/ml in 40 ml ultrapure water, performing ultrasonication in water bath for two hours to obtain uniform and stable dispersion liquid, adding 43.4-868 mg cerium nitrate, shaking the mixture using ultrasonic waves until obtaining clear and transparent solution, adjusting pH of the mixture to 7 by mechanical stirring, adding 4-8 ml 50 %mass hydrazine hydrate, performing reduction reaction at 30 degrees C for 0.5 hours, adding 40-60 ml hydrazine hydrate, performing reduction reaction at 85 degrees C for 48 hours, filtering the obtained solution using polycarbonate membrane filter having diameter of 0.22 mu m, constantly washing the filter using ultra pure water, obtaining black precipitate, and drying the precipitate at 75 degrees C for 4 hours.
