NOVELTY - The electrode material has an electrochemically active material which has a sodium oxide and a tunnel-like metallic element of specific formula. The electrochemically active material has an orthorhombic crystal structure, and is in the form of particles, in which the orthorhombic crystal structure has Pbam space groups. The electronically conductive material is selected from the group of carbon black, acetylene black, graphite, graphene, carbon fibers, carbon nanofibers, nanotubes carbons, and a combination of two or more. The carbon fibers are formed in the gas phase (VGCFs). USE - Electrode material for use in electrochemical cells, e.g. lithium-ion batteries (BLIs) and all-solid-state batteries. ADVANTAGE - The electrode material has excellent electrochemically active material, and provides electrode having excellent electrical conductivity and electrochemical properties. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for the following: (1) an electrochemical cell; and (2) a battery.
