NOVELTY - A lithium-sulfur accumulator (1) comprises electrolyte (2) containing lithium ions, anode (3), cathode (4) containing sulfur, and surface layer (5) arranged between the anode and cathode. Area on the cathode side comprises polysulfide. The surface layer comprises at least one graphene layer which is permeable to lithium ions and non-permeable to polysulfide. USE - Lithium-sulfur accumulator is used in energy-storage system used in mobile and stationary application. ADVANTAGE - The lithium-sulfur accumulator has excellent reliability, stability and durability. The polysulfide provides high volumetric energy density of the accumulator and avoids increase in internal resistance of accumulator.
