NOVELTY - An electrode is prepared by combining silicon (Si), sulfur doped graphene (SG) and polyacrylonitrile (PAN) to form slurry, coating slurry on current collector, and subjecting current collector coated with slurry to sluggish heat treatment (SHT). USE - Preparation of electrode e.g. anode used for lithium ion battery (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - Anode is stable and has high performance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) preparation of anode which involves combining silicon (Si), sulfur doped graphene (SG) and polyacrylonitrile (PAN) to form slurry, coating slurry on current collector, and subjecting current collector coated with slurry to sluggish heat treatment (SHT); (2) lithium ion battery comprising greater than or equal to 1 cathode and greater than or equal to 1 anode; and (3) anode.
