NOVELTY - Preparation of copper oxide composite desulfurizer involves oxidizing carbon-based material to obtain oxidized carbon-based material, dripping the oxidized carbon-based material in mixed solution of copper salt and magnesium salt, drying the impregnated carbon-based material, and calcining the dried carbon-based material in an inert atmosphere to obtain magnesium oxide and copper oxide loaded carbon-based material as desulfurizer. USE - Preparation of copper oxide composite desulfurizer removing hydrogen sulfide in gas at room temperature in oxygen-free atmosphere (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The preparation method is simple and environmentally-friendly, and improves desulfurization efficiency of copper oxide composite desulfurizer in oxygen-free atmosphere at room temperature due to the presence of magnesium oxide. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for the copper oxide composite desulfurizer for removing hydrogen sulfide in gas at room temperature in oxygen-free atmosphere, which comprises carbon-based materials, copper oxide and magnesium oxide, and is prepared by using the above preparation method.
