NOVELTY - Preparing graphene oxide/attapulgite magnetic composite material comprises (i) mixing graphite, potassium persulfate, phosphorus pentoxide and strong acid, uniformly stirring to obtain a first mixed liquid, washing and drying the first mixed liquid to obtain first mixed solid, adding strong acid and potassium permanganate into the first mixed solid to obtain second mixed liquid, preheating the second mixed liquid in a water bath, maintaining the constant temperature, adding de-ionized water into second mixed liquid, stirring and reacting at high temperature, adding hydrogen peroxide until the solution is bright yellow, allowing to stand and pouring out the supernatant, washing to neutral and drying to obtain graphene oxide; and (ii) adding water, attapulgite and graphene oxide into a reactor to obtain the third mixed liquid, sonicating third mixed liquid, blowing inert gas for discharge air, adding ferrous sulfate heptahydrate at high temperature and injecting inert gas and cooling. USE - The composite material is useful for removing propranolol in water body (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The composite material has high adsorption rate and removal effects; and is economical, easy to use and suitable for industrialization. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing graphene oxide/attapulgite magnetic composite material comprises (i) mixing graphite, potassium persulfate, phosphorus pentoxide and strong acid, uniformly stirring to obtain a first mixed liquid, washing and drying the first mixed liquid to obtain first mixed solid, adding strong acid and potassium permanganate into the first mixed solid to obtain second mixed liquid, preheating the second mixed liquid in a water bath, maintaining the constant temperature, adding de-ionized water into second mixed liquid, stirring and reacting at high temperature, adding hydrogen peroxide until the solution is bright yellow, allowing to stand and pouring out the supernatant, washing to neutral and drying to obtain graphene oxide; and (ii) adding water, attapulgite and graphene oxide into a reactor to obtain the third mixed liquid, sonicating third mixed liquid, blowing inert gas for discharge air, adding ferrous sulfate heptahydrate at high temperature and injecting inert gas to obtain fourth mixed liquid, uniformly mixing water, sodium hydroxide and sodium nitrate to obtain fifth mixed liquid, preheating the prepared fifth mixed liquid in water bath at constant temperature, dropping fifth mixed liquid dropwise into the fourth mixed liquid under the condition of slowly blowing inert gas to obtain sixth mixed liquid, placing the sixth mixed liquid in water bath for heat preservation, cooling to room temperature and washing many times and drying. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for use of composite material for removing propranolol in water body, comprising using attapulgite as a carrier, subjecting composite material to liquid deposition reaction, adding 0.4 g/l propanol to water.
